Pandemonium occur at the ongoing promotional examination of policemen to the rank of Sergeant and Inspector, at the Police College, Ikeja, Lagos, yesterday after a Police Sergeant attached to the Oyo State Police Command slumped and died.
A police Sergeant on Inspectors’ Promotion Course Identified as Lekan at the Police College Ikeja, Lagos, yesterday 15th October, slumped and died. He was to be promoted to the rank of Inspector before the sad incident.
Three days before Lekan’s death, Officer Samuel Jinadu, the college spokesman and Superintendent of Police (SP) also died after being ill for a while.
A reliable source who witnessed the incident but craved anonymity said the sergeant slumped and died around 12 noon.
His remains has been taken to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja for autopsy.
