"In the interest of Nigeria football and the desire to ensure qualification for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations finals, the Committee decided to relieve them of their duties with immediate effect."

Despite last night victory, It has officially been announced by NFF that the super eagles Coach Stephen Keshi has been sacked and replaced by an ex-coach of super eagles, Amodu Shuaibu after an Emergency meeting which held last night in Abuja.
NFF stated:
