An Egyptian farmer who came across a bag containing nearly 2.7 million pounds (Dh1.4 million) while plowing his land reported to the nearest police station and handed over the money.
An investigations carried out later showed that the money had been dumped there by two thieves, who were chased by police after robbing passengers near the northern Egyptian town of Beheira.
Police said the two thieves were arrested, but refused to guide them to the loot, adding that the farmer also rejected a reward for handing over the money.
